South Robinson Hooker Gets a Little 'Seaman;' Navy Disinterested in What their Personnel Do in Uniform

5/31/07 -- OKC, OK - Video Vigilante Brian Bates catches a Navy seaman taking a street prostitute to a local hotel. When the Navy is contacted, they reportedly couldn't care less.

Yesterday afternoon Bates witnessed a known black female street prostitute soliciting along South Robinson Ave in Oklahoma City.

Minutes later a car stops in a neighborhood park and picked the prostitute up.

The two then drove to a hotel on South I-35 known for prostitution and drug activities.

Unfortunately, this hotel is also home to several families experiencing financial hardships.

The Navy seaman and the hooker go into a room that obviously belonged to the female.

Several minutes later the two emerge. The man is buttoning the shirt on his uniform.

When Bates exited his vehicle to approach the man and woman, both fled the area.

Online sources identify the uniform as a Navy seamen constructionman.

Bates placed a call to the US Navy in Oklahoma.

Bates says the Lt. who answered the phone was initially helpful and confirmed the uniform appeared to be one of theirs.

However, Bates says that after he disclosed the man's actions with the hooker, the Navy Lt. quickly tried to end the call. "He didn't want a copy of the video, he didn't want the man's name (which was on the paper tag in the car's window) and he wasn't concerned with what Navy personnel did while in uniform (shaming it no-less)," said Bates.

Bates says the navy Lt. told him to call police and not the Navy.

Tomorrow (June 1) marks the beginning of 'Navy Week' in Oklahoma. Great start guys!

The Navy person is actually an Aerographer's Mate. You can tell by the circle with an arrow going through it.

It makes sense as well, since it is in OKC. Also, the Military will not enforce violations off-base. They will however, support the law enforcement officials and many times exponentally increase the punishment.
